Overview
There is no debate that India is destined to regain its pre-eminent position that it held for nearly 1800 years from 1 AD to 1800 AD, of #1 or #2 economy in the world, by 2050 or thereabouts. The debate must be when we get to that pre-eminent position of the largest economy in the world, will 70% Indians (86 Crore/860 Million) living in our 597,608 inhabited villages, majority job less or farmers with an average farm income of INR 5000 per month, partake in that pre-eminent position, or will we further increase the chasm between urban and rural India, between haves and have-nots, to such catastrophic levels that the clash between the two poles will be inevitable, the signs of which are already touching our daily lives by way of increased chaos, of all hues, in our towns and cities.
Rural shift to urban centers is just not a sustainable solution – how do you move 86 crore Indians to a handful of urban centers – which are already reeling under the rural influx and are increasingly becoming severely chaotic, and then profess to improve quality of life of the migrated rural and the incumbent urban residents?
Our vision is to connect – not shift – rural Bharat to urban India by developing our rural India where quality of life – economic as well as social – becomes significantly better than urban India.
Bharat to India Connect (B2Ic) will work on building and implementing sustainable models for comprehensive Rural Transformation.
Rural Job creation in
Farm Sector and Non-Farm Sector
Farm Sector
Facilitate technology adoption in farming for
significantly increasing yields and improving farming efficiency,
and enabling Farmer Producing Companies (FPCs)
that will develop farm produce ecosystem (processing, supply
chain, etc.) creating significant jobs and wage enhancement
in the farm sector
Non-Farm Sector
Facilitate micro and small scale industrial
units for manufacturing and services and enable market
access, creating non-farm sector jobs within the villages
Connecting the Dots
for Holistic Rural Development
every aspect of Rural development by NGOs/NPOs/FPOs/
Foundations, and by successive Governments. B2Ic will
facilitate the last mile access of such solutions to the villages
for holistic development of the village, specifically in
infrastructure, health, and education development
Teach what is not taught
young at village Primary Schools when it matters most for
teaching what never gets taught in schools: Pride in India,
Dignity of Labor, Cleanliness, Values, Concepts of Planning,
Process and Quality (of everything), Building scientific
temperament and such, to help prepare the crop of
responsible Indians
Platform for Knowledge Sharing
by Retired or Seasoned
Professionals
Significant expertise and knowledge goes waste when
professionals retire. B2Ic intends to provide retired or
seasoned professionals a platform to share their immense
and invaluable knowledge with the village children and youth
on their area of expertise, or anything of their choice, either
by face to face interaction or via distant learning interaction
We have identified our first cluster of 6 villages in Behror Tehsil, Alwar District, Rajasthan to launch our initiative.
