General
- Added two more villages Pehal and Raipur in Mundawar Tehsil, Alwar District in the scope of engagement for B2Ic.
- As Rural Development Evangelist, Co-chaired CII’s Rural Telecom Summit and participated as Panel Speaker at Industry Forums (Rural Telecom Summit and WiFi India Channel Summit) to bring rural development and rural awareness to mainstream “urban” discourse.
- Contributed an article on Technology Intervention in Agri Sector to the Compendium on Building New Age India launched during India Mobile Congress and published by DigiAnalysys, TechArc, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and BSNL. This compendium has been widely circulated in the Industry and top echelons of the Government.

RUJO: Rural Job Creation
Farm Sector
- Initiated formation of Farmer Producer Company by the farmers of a cluster of villages around Pehal and Raipur in Ranoth panchayat (Mundawar Tehsil, Alwar District). 42 farmers from 5 villages have signed up as the founding shareholders of the FPC. This Farmer Producer Company will enable organizing farmers to build a platform for the farmers for collectively negotiating better input cost and output price, for enabling technology adoption and technical counselling to member farmers, and for facilitating post harvesting solutions (grading, storage, processing, etc.) for significant value add to their produce.
- All our farm sector initiatives will now be driven through this Farmer Producer Company for the member farmers.
- Initiated Mission Drip Irrigation for adoption of Drip Irrigation by all farmers of the Farmer Producer Company. Pledged INR 5 Lakhs as a rolling fund for adoption of Drip Irrigation by the member farmers of the Farmer Producer Company. The rolling fund will be used to fund the unsubsidized cost of Drip Irrigation to enable ease of payment for the farmers for adopting Drip Irrigation.
- Arranged visit of farmers to Drip Irrigated Farms in Pehal and Raipur for first hand interaction with expert farmers.
- Facilitated development of a video on Drip Irrigation by expert farmers to spread awareness on Drip Irrigation among farmer communities. Drip Irrigation enables 50-60% reduction in water consumption (70% global water consumption is for irrigation), increases the yield by 50-60%, reduces fertilizer use by 50-60%, improves soil quality, and reduces labour requirement.
Non-Farm Sector
- Establishing Stitching Production Center for Village Women by Usha Silai School: Concluded assessment by Usha International of 47 women candidates of village Khori and of a cluster of villages around Pehal and Raipur for Stitching Production Center.
- Based on the assessment conducted by Usha International, selected 20 women candidates from the cluster of villages around Pehal and Raipur for establishing the Stitching Production Center. Training by Usha Silai School to commence in February.
- This year long program is sponsored by B2Ic, wherein Usha International assesses and will train the selected women on stitching, it will establish the stitching production center and handhold and develop women entrepreneurs to operate the Stitching production center.
- This Stitching Production Center will be collectively owned and operated by village women entrepreneurs.
- The 2nd Village Business Unit (VBU) for manufacturing of paper plates and saucers to be owned and operated by village youth has been initiated. Due diligence on manufacturing machines, input supplies and market assessment was completed. This VBU will also be established in Pehal/Raipur cluster of villages.

CODO: Connecting the Dots for Holistic Rural Development
- Adopted Government School at Kohrana for fulsome development: Along with the management of our adopted Government School at Kohrana, we facilitated development of a document for fulsome Development of the School. This document comprises of developmental elements for Teaching and Learning Aids, Student Development Enhancement, Teacher Skill Advancement, Operational Support, and Infrastructure Development. This plan will be used by B2Ic to help develop our adopted Government school.
- Provided school benches for all the 80 students of the Primary School. Previously these students were sitting on the floor.
- Provided 4 Play systems (Swing, Slide, See-saw and Monkey bar) for the Primary School children.
- Continue to provide books and Teaching Aids.
- One of our key advisor and benefactor provided sweaters for all the 80 Primary School Children of our adopted school.
- Solutions for Water scarcity: Sponsored a farmer and water conservation expert from Raipur village for attending 5 days training on rejuvenation of natural water bodies (river, johad, ponds, etc.) by Waterman Dr. Rajinder Singh’s organization Tarun Bharat Sangh (TBS) (tarunbharatsangh.in) at their Ashram at Bhikampura village in Alwar district.
- Along with this local trained resource, we will identify local johads for revival in the Pehal/Raipur cluster.
- Design work for already identified 2 large dried johads at the foothills of Aravali in Banhad and Khori villages by TBS experts as the first two johads for revival will be completed in this quarter.

TWINT: Teach What is Not Taught
- Organized a day long excursion to Delhi of 52 students of Kohrana Government School comprising of students of 5th, 6th, and 12th grades. A first-ever such visit by these students, they visited India Gate, Red Fort, Gandhi Smriti, Qutab Minar and also saw President’s House, Parliament, Supreme Court, etc. on their way to the monuments.
- Continued with our teaching sessions with the Primary School children with A/V sessions on Cleanliness, Dignity of Labour, Developing Imagination, Drawing and reading Maps, and Reading habit inculcation.

KNOPRO: Knowledge Sharing by Professionals
- Supported Vidyashram Study Center at Kohrana for village youth by providing infrastructure for the Study Center.
- Installed additional Exercise Bars in Kohrana and Utoli villages for physical preparation for Army exam.
