General
- B2Ic signed a formal MoU with Pranab Mukherjee Foundation for launch of their SmarTgram initiative for 360-degree development of all the 9 adopted villages of B2Ic.
- B2Ic articulated its learnings of the Farm Sector in the last two years working with a large number of farmers in a Whitepaper: Agrifacturing – The Game Changer that India Definitely Needs.
- Based on the significant impact that COVID-19 has on proximity-based activities, B2Ic will be rethinking and redesigning its support model for all its programs and projects in the months to follow.

RUJO: Rural Job Creation
Farm Sector
- Development of Unnatisheel Farmer Producer Company: For eliciting support of NABARD for development of Unnatisheel FPC, B2Ic facilitated engagement of NABARD accredited NGO Lupin Foundation with the FPC.
- B2Ic worked with the farmers of the FPC and Lupin Foundation to develop a comprehensive proposal to NABARD for Unnatisheel FPC’s development, articulating the business plan for next 5 years for Unnatisheel FPC.
- As B2Ic wades through the process maze of eliciting support from NABARD, it is also facilitating engagement of the FPC with Small Farmer Agriculture Consortium (SFAC) to help develop the FPC.
- Mission Drip Irrigation: B2Ic funded second tranche of our pledge of INR 5 lakhs as rolling fund for adoption of Drip Irrigation by the member farmers of the Farmer Producer Company for enabling farmers to avail interest free loan to pay for unsubsidized cost of Drip Irrigation system.
- Seven member farmers of Unnatisheel FPC has been provided funding under this initiative, who have since installed Drip Irrigation systems.
Non-Farm Sector
- Stitching Production Center (SPC) for Village Women by Usha Silai School: B2Ic is sponsoring school uniforms for the needy children in the Government Schools of its villages. These uniforms are stitched by the women entrepreneurs of the Stitching Production Center. This has threefold benefits: The women entrepreneurs continue to hone their skills in stitching commercial grade uniforms; they earn money stitching uniforms; and the needy children get uniforms.
- B2Ic will continue to support the women entrepreneurs with this model of sponsoring school uniforms for needy children.

CODO: Connecting the Dots for Holistic Rural Development
- Signed Formal MoU with Pranab Mukherjee Foundation (PMF) for launching their SmarTgram initiative in all our 9 adopted villages: Pranab Mukherjee Foundation (PMF) and B2Ic signed a formal MoU for launching PMF’s SmarTgram initiative for 360-degree development of all the 9 adopted villages of B2Ic. This will be PMF’s first foray in Rajasthan with all our 9 adopted villages for launching their SmarTgram development program.
- PMF has since conducted comprehensive survey of our adopted villages and has appointed 2 Local Resource Personnel (LRPs) in village Pehal and Raipur for coordinating activities in our adopted villages.
- As its first interventions, PMF has identified following programs: Three Smart Classrooms with Kant Learning Systems in three villages Behroj, Pehal and Kohrana Government Secondary schools; Two large Outreach programs in Pehal and Behror; Community based Happiness and Emotional Wellness workshops in all the 9 villages; Establishing 2 e-Doctor Clinics in two villages; Two training programs on Integrated Nutrient Management and Crop Management; Training of Self Help Groups on Food Processing and Homemade personal care products.
- These programs were planned for launch on March 23rd, however due to COVID lockdown these have been postponed to a time when it becomes feasible to resume work.
- Development of Government School at Kohrana: Four women benefactors of B2Ic and B2Ic funded construction of 10 urinals for girl students at Kohrana Government School. The plan was for constructing 4 toilets, however at the behest of the school management, B2Ic decided to support school’s request for constructing 10 urinals, which it was able to accomplish with the help of its women benefactors.
- B2Ic has identified 25 needy students of the school who will be provided uniforms for the next school session by B2Ic. These uniforms are stitched by the women entrepreneurs of Pehal and Raipur villages.

TWINT: Teach What is Not Taught
- For the second successive year, B2Ic organized a day long excursion to Delhi of 51 students of Kohrana Government School comprising of students of 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th grades. A first-ever such visit by these students, they visited Red Fort, India Gate and National Museum.
- The children enjoyed the National Museum the most, and were provided a guided tour by a Museum Expert, Yuva Saathi, provided by the Museum. This was an incredible first ever experience for village school children to learn about our heritage beyond books.
