Vision Statement of B2Ic

The core premise of our Vision is that we must accelerate, by a significant factor, economic development of Rural Bharat where more than 2/3rd of our country resides, and these 86 crore (860 M) rural people live in penury, surviving on less than INR 5000 (US $74) average monthly household wages, contributing only 16% to our GDP.

No matter how productive Urban India becomes and generates trillions of $s in GDP contribution, if 69% of our country cannot keep pace and contribute in that growth, it will be a huge drag on the whole economy and the country, significantly restricting our ability to really prosper as a nation. Rural Bharat must thrive for India to thrive.

The core premise of our Vision is we allow the same opportunities and development initiatives to rural Bharat that we shower on urban India. Why must our rural Bharat not partake in the progress and prosperity of the country enjoyed largely by urban India? Why must our rural Bharat shift to urban India for a peanut of an increment in its economic prosperity, at a significantly worse quality of life? Why must we create such a big chasm in rural Bharat and urban India that the have-nots start snatching from the haves (you, your offsprings, and their offsprings), increasingly evidenced in all our urban centers?

The core premise of our Vision is migrating 100s of millions of rural population to urban centers is a recipe for disaster for urban India, which has already choked under the influx of 14 crore (140 M) rural population migration in the last decade, completely decimating the quality of life of the urban India, and at the same time decimating whatever little quality of life the migrated had. We must develop our rural India as an alternative to urban India, not vice-versa.

Accelerated rural economic development which becomes catalyst for equitable comprehensive rural development, that enables a quality of life as an alternative to urban India.

So, what does our Vision entail?

Rural job creation for Rural Economic Development is the focal of all that B2Ic intends to do in the villages.

Farm Sector intervention will be end to end enablement of new farming technologies in every aspect of farming to significantly up the yield, reduce post-harvest losses, and extend life of produce; enable Farmer Producer Company (FPC) for organizing farmers for technology adoption, for lowering costs, better market access, developing supply chain, and processing units.

In non-Farm Sector, facilitating establishment and operation of small/medium scale Village Business Enterprise (VBE) in the villages for manufacturing/servicing that can be easily moved to villages from urban centers, and enabling sustainable market access to urban businesses and urban consumers for the village produce of these village enterprises.

B2Ic intends to be that “in-house Management Advisor-Worker” that will enable soups-to-nut development of these FPCs and VBEs. The infra for these FPCs and VBEs will be jointly developed by the Village Panchayats and B2Ic. Skilling, training and management expertise coordinated and facilitated by B2Ic. Planning, process development and quality management, facilitated by B2Ic. And market access for the FPCs and VBEs to urban industries and urban consumers facilitated through the efforts of B2Ic.

The incremental prosperity through job creation within the villages, becomes that single most important inflection point to get the attention of the villagers for meaningful development of the village. B2Ic envisions to become that “Advisor-Worker” to the village which can embark upon significant sustainable development initiatives:

Advisor-Workers that identifies the developmental requirements/problems, and enables solutions for these requirements of the village – Connecting the Dots – either by Government facilitated solutions, or leveraging works of NGOs/NPOs/FPOs for solutions to village problems for betterment in ‘quality of life’.

Advisor-Workers that now can start working at removing the “Fault Lines” in our polity, right at grass root levels through active engagement with the children and youth of the village, and teach them what is not taught in the schools to build the next responsible and compassionate generation of the country with an amazing ‘quality of thought’ that uplifts ‘quality of life’.

Advisor-Workers that facilitates dissemination of the huge life time of experience and expertise of the best-in-the-business retired or seasoned professionals, with the children and the youth of the villages to help accelerate their growth and realize their dreams.

Of course, it will be a long and arduous haul to realize our Vision, but we are re-building our country not for the next decade but for hundreds of years and beyond. And it is not someone else’s problem. It is everyone’s problem, it is our problem to solve. B2Ic is in for a grind!
